Creative Portfolio Ecosystem
Focus Areas:
UX/UI · Brand Cohesion · Front-End Systems · Narrative Layouts

A fully redesigned portfolio experience consolidating multiple project types into a single immersive interface. The system prioritizes narrative flow, editorial pacing, responsive behavior, and modular content presentation while maintaining scalability for future work.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Delivered in V.R.
Focus Areas:
UX/UI · Experimental Design· Virtual Reality Design · Psychology of Design · Creative Facilitation

Modular style interface design, with assets made whenever possible and other free-to-use assets imported when needed into a Virtual Reality space. The interface is designed to be minimally invasive, and collapse upon itself as one of the inherent affordances and needs of immersivity in Virtual Reality. The video can be skipped through for UI and UX dense examples.

Modules include focusing on mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, and group therapy as pulled from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Research. Prior to creating this project, a literature review was performed to ensure I wasn’t crossing professions and remained the role of designer instead of protocol writer.

Best practices used and sometimes intentionally left out for various reasons, such as encouraging interactivity and neural engagement by the user, as indicated by the study of design guidelines and theories.

5 Year Start-Up Marketing Plan for Dorkaholics

Marketing Plan for “Dorkaholics”

Focus Areas:
SEO· Algorithms · Research & Analysis · Digital Brand Growth Planning · Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) · Market Research & Audience Analysis · Social Media Strategy · SEO & Content Marketing · Competitive Analysis · Paid Advertising Planning · Community Building & Engagement · Campaign Development & Evaluation · Strategic Communications

The Dorkaholics PDF was compiled as part of a team effort with review and input from myself regarding each section, specializing in S.E.O. and Social Media. The information within is since outdated due to changes within systems relevant to the campaign booklet, yet still illustrates ability to learn new industry standards and implement.

This project involved the development of a comprehensive integrated marketing communications (IMC) strategy for Dorkaholics, an independent pop culture media publication focused on comics, anime, gaming, film, and fandom culture. The initiative was designed to identify growth opportunities, strengthen audience engagement, and improve competitive positioning against established industry publishers through research-driven marketing recommendations.

The campaign combined market analysis, competitor benchmarking, audience research, social media audits, content strategy development, paid advertising recommendations, search engine optimization (SEO), and community engagement initiatives. Research revealed opportunities to increase audience retention through exclusive content, improved publishing consistency, stronger social media engagement, and expansion into interactive digital experiences. Key findings also highlighted the importance of leveraging existing audience interests in superhero content, anime, gaming culture, and breaking entertainment news.

Strategic recommendations included the implementation of a structured content calendar, audience-focused social media campaigns, SEO optimization, micro-budget paid advertising, influencer and community partnerships, interactive content formats, and audience participation initiatives designed to increase website traffic, newsletter subscriptions, and social engagement. The campaign further established measurable performance indicators and a scalable six-month implementation framework supported by analytics-driven evaluation methods.

The project demonstrates expertise in digital marketing strategy, audience research, content marketing, paid media planning, SEO, social media management, competitive analysis, and integrated communications planning. It serves as an example of transforming audience insights into actionable growth strategies for a niche digital media brand seeking sustainable expansion within a highly competitive online publishing landscape.

Product Ideation and Marketing: The Sleep Secretary Concept
Focus Areas:
UX/UI · Experimental Design· Wayfinding Systems · Narrative Layouts · Creative Facilitation · AI Product Strategy · Marketing Planning · Emerging Technology · Business Strategy· Product Design · Technical Specifications

Sleep Secretary was developed as a forward-looking product strategy and business development initiative exploring the intersection of artificial intelligence, consumer wellness, and behavioral technology. The project centered on the creation of a personalized sleep optimization platform that leveraged facial analysis, user behavior patterns, and adaptive algorithms to deliver individualized recommendations designed to improve performance, productivity, and overall well-being.

The engagement included the development of a comprehensive five-year strategic roadmap encompassing market research, competitive analysis, customer segmentation, product positioning, revenue modeling, growth forecasting, and go-to-market planning. Beyond the initial mobile application concept, the strategy outlined future product expansion opportunities, including connected smart devices and new market applications within the broader wellness and lifestyle sectors.

By combining emerging technology with consumer-centered design principles, the project demonstrates expertise in strategic marketing, product innovation, business planning, market opportunity assessment, and long-term growth strategy. The result is a scalable framework that illustrates how novel technology concepts can be transformed into viable products with clear market differentiation and sustainable commercial potential.

Work done while studying Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communications as a capstone project that integrates technology with practicality as a concept.

Maranta Power is a natural hair care brand dedicated to empowering individuals with curly hair through clean, high-quality products and a message rooted in self-acceptance, confidence, and inclusivity. This project focused on the creation of a comprehensive brand identity system designed to support the company’s expansion into broader consumer markets while preserving its authentic mission and cultural roots.

The engagement encompassed the development of a complete visual and verbal branding framework, including logo redesign, typography systems, color strategy, packaging design standards, digital experience guidelines, social media direction, graphic language, and brand voice documentation. Creative Direction Systems Task Management Campaign Coherence Communication

To whom it may concern,
Riley’s work is exemplary. She was previously an Intern at Digital Hands from November 9th 2015 until August 1st when she shifted to working as a Technical Specialist on my team.

I originally expected her to only perform technical writing and editing but she has far exceeded that expectation both in breadth and depth. Currently, I express goals and expectations and she autonomously pursues those goals and expectations with touch-base meetings only being necessary to avoid work duplication. Her output is high in quality and she double-checks her work (when time permits).

I recommended her for an “Executive” award for Customer Excellence which she has received.

She has been working on extremely tight deadlines for almost three months and she has excelled at every task I’ve put in front of her.

After demonstrating my own techniques in these areas, I can usually expect her to be capable of performing them with little to no hand-holding. A short list of the tasks she has been asked to do follows:
-Discovery of existing processes
-Requesting deliverables from technical assets (i.e. demonstrate process X, y, Z)
-Filming technical assets
-Editing video
-Technical writing
-Creating PowerPoint presentations
-Creating logical flow-charts of existing processes
-Proposing new stream-lined processes for approval by management and technical assets
-Interacting with management to acquire necessary parameters for development of training
-Interacting with technical assets to acquire existing documentation
-Scheduling meetings and taking meeting minutes
-Reading technical documentation from technology manufacturers and extracting meaningful training insights
-Tackling existing manufacturer training and distilling information into PowerPoint presentations and technical writings

Said differently, she nearly doubles my effectiveness because she learns fast, performs at a high level of effectiveness and communicates well. I unhesitatingly recommend her.
Sincerely,
Philip

Approach

The process combines strategic UX thinking with a visually driven design methodology. Projects often begin with information architecture and behavioral flow before expanding into typography systems, interaction pacing, and visual language.

The goal is not simply to make interfaces usable, but to make them feel intentional.

Design Philosophy
Clarity without sterility
Information should feel effortless to navigate without becoming cold, corporate, or forgettable.
Systems without rigidity
Design systems should create consistency while still allowing room for experimentation and evolution.
Visual identity without sacrificing usability
Distinctive brands should remain intuitive, accessible, and practical for the people using them.
Marketing performance without losing personality
Strong metrics matter, but memorable experiences are what create lasting engagement.

Philosophy

The most effective digital experiences feel authored rather than assembled.

Good UX should disappear into intuition.
Good branding should feel recognizable before it becomes readable.
Good systems should scale without losing character.

The work exists in the space between product design and creative practice — where structure, interaction, storytelling, and visual identity operate together rather than separately.
